Welcome to Day 4 (already!) of #WildWombynSisterhood 🍂 I bring us #dancerspose • #natarajasana 🍂Do you find it easy to express yourself? What are your favorite forms of expression? 🍂 We are Women (humans) full of feelings and emotions. We ebb and flow constantly. Well at least I do! And the older I get, the more I try to be intentional with how I express myself! I struggle with depression, anxiety and ptsd so I have found it important to express myself in healthy ways. Which wasn't always the case. I used alcohol for many years to express the pain I was carrying from past traumas. 🍂 Fast forward to now age 33, I have found many ways of expression that work for me and help me process the waves...I write reflection pieces and poetry, I practice Yoga, I meditate, I spend time with Mother Nature, I workout, I run, I dance, I crack jokes, I cry, I have sex, I spend intimate time alone, I give hugs, I paint, I sketch, I wear funky patterned clothes, I cut my hair, I take photos, and I even consider my presence on social media a form of expression! 🍂 For me, expression comes in different forms, verbal, non verbal, subtle, overt. It is all about listening to my own needs. I am a big believer in allowing myself to feel in order to heal. I also think expression is one of the most beautiful things we do as humans. My hope is to lead by example and always express myself in ways that show my children it is ok and safe to be expressive. I never want them to feel self conscious or fear how they share their feelings and emotions. 🍂Expressing ourselves means we have to be vulnerable which can be scary but when you open up like that you have so much more room to grow. I could talk about this all day so I'll end here! 💛 It has been so inspiring reading all of your posts! I am so happy we are sharing this space together!
