Reminiscing the awesomeness of this moment in Italy 2 years ago. We were gone for 10 days on this vacation and I remember being shocked that I came back leaner and lighter than before I left. Just 3 years prior to this trip, every vacation I went on brought me back at least 5lbs heavier. My metabolism wasn’t nearly as fast, nor was my everyday diet suitable for my needs. I realize now how lacking in nutrients I was...fast forward to this trip with a healthy body, metabolism and diet: I made zero dietary restrictions while in Italy and had more wine than I think I had ever had in my life 😄 while I stayed mindful of what I ate and kept a plan of attack for how I would monitor my nutrition, there is something to be said for the power of truly fresh food and portion sizes that aren’t out of control! ... oh yes, and walking.
