🤸🎉 Today is the day we beat Hip dysplasias butt! 🤸🎉 Sometimes i think instagram or social media dont really show lifes full story. So today im opening up about our story. When Sienna was born il never forget that student midwife saying im referring her to musgrave hip clinic as urgent. Forever grateful she noticed it sooner rather than later. 10 days old nature was already moving them in the right way but severe shallow angles, We wer in for months of treatment, educating ourselves and adjusting normal baby life to suit the hip harness. Hip dysplasia is so so common in baby girls, breach babies or premature.
Today we say goodbye to heartache, restrictive living, careful handling, no bouncers, walkers, tears, splinting when she sleeps and lets say a huge hello to happiness, releif and finally a night where we can place our baby girl into her cot, splint free and she can finally lay the way she wants to on her tummy. My husband and i have battled this together as a team and i am so blessed to have him, to have eachother when times got tough with this. We used to sigh at bed time cause we knew it was splintage time. I used to kiss you goodnight and say im sorry we have to put this on you as the tears ran down my face. You wer sleeping but i knew you wernt comfortable and some nights you woke wondering why are my legs not moving in this mummy.....Well tonight my Love... Let me kiss you tonight and say i am so so proud of you, sleep comfortable tonight, stretch every part of your body whatever way u like, your hip splint is gone, free as a bird! We fought hip dysplasia, We did it as a family, we won.... your our hero!
Let me take this opportunity to throw the splint up into the air and wave goodbye 👆 🌥...... #ourstory #wecanbreatheagain #hipdysplasia #babyhip #wewon #baby #happy #battlesover #happy #family #daughter #goodbye #
